佛诞节，北传佛教纪念佛祖释迦牟尼佛诞生的日子，又名浴佛节。
农历四月初八，佛教最大的节日之一。自古以来，在当天佛教庙宇都举行盛大的浴佛仪式、庆祝活动，祈求佛祖福泽，消弭灾难。相传公元前623年，印度迦毗罗卫国的王后摩耶夫人，在蓝毗尼花园的无忧树下，生下了悉达多太子，也就是后来的释迦牟尼。太子诞生后， 一手指天，一手指地，说道：「天上天下，唯我独尊」，随即有两股泉从天而下，沐浴在王子的身上。所以叫浴佛节。在新加坡该节日为农历4月15日。
